Yesterday, London and I had an adventure. We took the train and the bus and went to the Chicago Children's Museum. I didn't realize how many wonderful programs they had for little kids -- babies and toddlers. We had such a great time exploring and we'll be sure to go back again and again.
London loved the campsite and dinosaurs and grocery store and art and water and building. Living just a few miles away, we could really visit once a month at the very least. Our only challenge was potty training. London didn't want to pee at the museum and he really had to go - he was doing the dance. No matter, he held it until we got home. Then he had a temper tantrum and peed himself. An hour later, we had a successful public bathroom pee. So, a big day for all kinds of things.
Oh -- and I have to mention our public transportation. London loves everyone and that is one reason I love the city. He flirted with the old, young, black, white, Asian, rich, poor -- everyone. When a gangster guy sat across the aisle from him on the train, the man held out his hand to London and London gave him "five" with a smile. I hope that London grows up -- no matter where that is -- to be color blind and socio-economic blinc. I guess that's our job as parents.
